Unalloyed titanium Grade 1 offering optimum ductility and cold formability with useful strength, high impact toughness, and excellent weldability. This grade of titanium is well known for its highly corrosion resistant preoperty in oxidizing and mildly reducing environments, such as chlorides.
UNS R50250 Titanium Grade 1 has undoubtedly excellent weldability. Gr. 1 Ti is a single phase material thus the microstructure of the alpha phase is not affected greatly by either the thermal treatments or welding temperatures. As a result, the mechanical properties of a correctly welded joint are equal to, or exceeding the properties of the parent metal and exhibit good ductility.
